Summary of Retreat<\/strong><\/p>\n

The distinguished Islamic scholar, Maul\u0101n\u0101 Dr. Muhammad Fazlur Rahm\u0101n Ans\u0101r\u012b (\u0631\u062d\u0645\u0647 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647), described the state of the Muslim world, more than 50 years ago, as pathetic; today, 50 years later, when Muslims, as well as much of the rest of mankind, are being imprisoned in political and economic slavery, the situation is far worse. Maul\u0101n\u0101 was of the firm conviction that \u201cMuslims rose to greatness through the\u00a0Qur\u2019<\/em>\u0101<\/em>n<\/em>, which built them up into a World-Force dedicated to the service of Humanity, and they led Humanity for a long time in every phase of human activity; spiritual, moral, intellectual, aesthetical, economic and political.\u201d He therefore concluded, logically so, that only the\u00a0Qur\u2019<\/em>\u0101<\/em>n<\/em>\u00a0could extricate Muslims from the present sorry plight. He expressed these views in his historic\u00a0magnum opus\u00a0<\/em>\u2018The Quranic Foundations and Structure of Muslim Society\u2019.<\/p>\n

This Retreat is organized by those who believe that Maul\u0101n\u0101 Dr. Ans\u0101r\u012b was correct in his view concerning the supreme importance of the\u00a0Qur\u2019<\/em>\u0101<\/em>n<\/em>\u00a0for Muslim survival and salvation.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Qur\u2019<\/em>\u0101<\/em>n<\/em>\u00a0directed the blessed Prophet (\u0635\u0644\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0644\u064a\u0647 \u0648\u0633\u0644\u0645) in\u00a0S<\/em>\u016b<\/em>rah al-Qiy<\/em>\u0101<\/em>mah<\/em>, to\u00a0first<\/em>\u00a0recite it the way that Allah Most High recited it, and\u00a0only then<\/em>\u00a0would Allah Most High explain the\u00a0Qur\u2019<\/em>\u0101<\/em>n<\/em>\u00a0to him. The implication of the above was that\u00a0study<\/em>\u00a0of the\u00a0Qur\u2019<\/em>\u0101<\/em>n<\/em>\u00a0was dependent on correct\u00a0prior<\/em>\u00a0recitation of the book:<\/p>\n

Behold! Oh Muhammad, it is for Us to gather\u00a0as a whole\u00a0<\/em>(i.e.,<\/em>\u00a0all the revelations being sent down to you), and it is also for Us to then recite it (i.e.,<\/em>\u00a0to you).<\/p>\n

Then when We have recited it (i.e.,<\/em>\u00a0recited that whole Qur\u2019\u0101n to you), you must follow that way of recitation.<\/p>\n

And then, (i.e.,<\/em>\u00a0after you are reciting the whole Qur\u2019\u0101n the way We have recited it), it would be for Us to explain it (i.e.,<\/em>\u00a0explain the whole Qur\u2019\u0101n to you).<\/p>\n

The first day of this Retreat, conducted by Islamic scholar, Imran N. Hosein, would be devoted entirely to teaching the way that Allah Most High recited the\u00a0Qur\u2019\u0101n<\/em>\u00a0to Prophet Muhammad (\u0635\u0644\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u0639\u0644\u064a\u0647 \u0648\u0633\u0644\u0645). Participants should prepare themselves for this day-long session by reading in advance, his book on the subject entitled:\u00a0The Qur\u2019an and the Moon –<\/em>\u00a0\u00a0<\/em>Methodology for Monthly Recitation of the Qur\u2019\u0101n.<\/em>\u00a0Participants in the Retreat would all receive complementary copies of this book Insha\u2019 Allah.<\/p>\n

Following this first day, Maul\u0101n\u0101 Siddiq Ahmed N\u0101sir, who is one of the distinguished students of Maul\u0101n\u0101 Dr. Ansari, would offer a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for participants to study Dr. Ansari\u2019s magnificent 2-Vol work:\u00a0The Quranic Foundations and Structure of Muslim Society<\/em>. Vol 1 of the book will be taught on the 2nd<\/sup>\u00a0day of the Retreat, and Vol.2 on the 3rd<\/sup>\u00a0day. Participants should prepare themselves for these two important days of the Retreat by making themselves at least acquainted with this great book which can be downloaded free of charge from the internet. Copies can be purchased from the Online Bookstore\u00a0www.imranhosein.com<\/a><\/p>\n

In succeeding two days of the Retreat participants would not only be taught the methodology for the study of the\u00a0Qur\u2019\u0101n<\/em>, as explained by Maul\u0101n\u0101 Dr. Ans\u0101r\u012b, but also the application of that methodology for penetrating at least some the Quranic explanations of the\u00a0reality<\/em>\u00a0of modern age. Participants should prepare for these sessions by reading Imran Hosein\u2019s book entitled:\u00a0Methodology for Study of the Qur\u2019\u0101n<\/em>. This book, also, can be downloaded free of charge from the internet, or purchased from the Online Bookstore.<\/p>\n

Before the concluding session Imran N. Hosein will spend one complete day teaching the subject of his new book, still being written at this time, entitled:\u00a0From Jesus the True Messiah to Dajj\u0101l the False Messiah \u2013 A Journey in Islamic Eschatology.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Finally, this Retreat will conclude with two days devoted entirely to sessions in which participants can request discussions on contemporary issues which they may choose to raise, and for which they seek guidance from the\u00a0Qur\u2019\u0101n<\/em>. Such an issue can be the mysterious universal virus that just would not go away until it has so transformed the world as to facilitate the passage from\u00a0Pax Americana\u00a0<\/em>to\u00a0Pax Judaica.<\/em><\/p>\n

The organizers of the Retreat will make the best effort to invite to those concluding sessions\u00a0Insha\u2019 Allah<\/em>, distinguished scholars with several different areas of expertise in the\u00a0Qur\u2019\u0101n,\u00a0<\/em>as well as in contemporary affairs.<\/p>\n
