War on Iran, Nuclear Escalation, and the Coming Struggle Over Gulf Oil [Part 3]
Speaking from Trinidad, he argues that the war on Iran was planned long in advance and must be understood in connection with larger strategic goals, including preventing Iran from becoming a nuclear power, reshaping control over oil and gas, and advancing a wider regional agenda. He reflects on the possibility of a land invasion, the use of nuclear weapons, the implications for Iran’s membership in the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, and the likelihood of major repercussions across the Gulf energy system.
He also explores the relationship between the war, the petrodollar system, the future of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states, Russian and Venezuelan energy interests, and the possibility that the conflict could trigger far wider geopolitical consequences. The speaker closes by warning of the danger that the war could eventually provoke sectarian conflict within the Muslim world.
