Methodology for the Study of Dajjāl in the Qur’ān was meant to be included as a chapter of my book on Dajjāl. However I realized that it was too long to function as a chapter, and hence I had to remove the material that was specific to Dajjāl, and then publish it as a separate book altogether. I have no regrets in doing so since it was my desire that this be my last effort at teaching basic methodology for the study of the Qur’ān. I have done no more than offer an introduction to that methodology. Those who wish to do so, can search for books which teach the subject comprehensively.
The ‘Introduction’ to the religious thought of the distinguished Islamic scholar, Maulānā Dr. Muhammad Fazlur Rahmān Ansārī (1914-1974) contains important information and analysis on methodology which complement the text of this book. Readers are advised to read that ‘Introduction’ to his religious thought in order to enhance their understanding of the subject of this book. It is located in Appendix 1 of the book. Indeed most of what is explained in the text itself on methodology has come from him, and it is he who should have written this book. I wish I had an introductory book such as this to study when I was his student just beginning my study of Tafsīr al- Qur’ān. Had he written it, I have no doubt that it would have spurred me on to a faster and more productive effort of study of the Holy Qur’ān.
Allah Most High declared that He sent down the Qur’ān in the Arabic language in order that it might provoke a people to think (Qur’ān, Yūsuf, 12:2), and hence to study the Book with the rational faculty. Most translators of the Qur’ān admit that it cannot be translated to another language. (See Muhammad Asad’s essay entitled: Can the Qur’ān be translated? Published by the Centre Islamique, Geneva. 1964) Rather, the most that can be achieved in a translation is an approximate rendering of the meaning of the miraculous Arabic text. For this reason we always quote in this book, the actual Arabic text of the Qur’ān which has been preserved unaltered for close to fifteen hundred years, and having done so, we then offer an explanatory translation with our explanatory comments (always carefully enclosed in brackets). We have done so in order to facilitate the proper study of the Qur’ān.
References for quotations from the Qur’ān are always provided below the translation of the Arabic text as follows: first the name of the Sūrah, then the number of the Sūrah, followed by the verse number; e.g., (Qur’ān, al-Baqarah, 2:21; Qur’ān, Yūsuf, 12:2; etc.). We sometimes quote only a relevant part of the text of a long verse of the Qur’ān since, to do otherwise would unduly increase the size of the book. Readers can access the entire text of such verses if they log on to the website: www.islamicity.org/quransearch
Finally, I wrote most of this book in Rabī al-Thānī 1437, while on a brief visit to the city of Geneva in Switzerland, in order to participate in a seminar on ‘Preparing for Nuclear War’. I gratefully acknowledge the kind assistance provided by Mushtaq’s Food Machinery of UK which made my travel to Geneva, as well as my stay in Geneva, possible. May Allah bless them for their kind assistance. Āmīn!
Being an explanation of the Islamic prohibition of riba (i.e borrowing and lending on interest, among other things), and an effort:
to remind Muslims of the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah as they pertain to the prohibition of riba and, in partibular, that a violation of this prohibition constitutes a great sin.
to expose the grand design of hostile forces who have already made considerable progress, through riba, in gaining control over mankind. Their aim is to gain total control and to use that power to destroy faith in Allah.
to assist Muslims to get out of direct involvement in riba, and thus to preserve their faith (iman), while recognising that is is today impossible to live a life which is completely free from riba.
to explain the economic sunnah, (i.e the Sunnah as it pertains to economic affairs) and in particular, the nature of the free and fair market and the different ways through which that market has today been totally corrupted.
to warn Muslims of the inevitable collapse of the present fraudulent system of non redeemable artificial money, i.e paper, plastic and electronic money; and to encourage them to return to the use of the real money created by Allah, i.e gold and silver coins and any other real money.
to contribute towards the restoration of the free and fair market (with a different business ethic to that of the riba-based capitalism) by encouraging ba’i (business) in the place of riba, and the raising of capital by way of mudarabah and musharaqa investments rather than bank loans on interest.
That time has now arrived.
Text and commentary of their historic conversation in 1935
Commentary and editing by Imran N. Hosein
The following is the text of a conversation between the famous European playwright and intellectual, George Bernard Shaw, and the famous Islamic scholar and missionary, Maulana Abdul Aleem Siddiqui. They met in Mombasa, in British-occupied Kenya, 65 years ago on April 17, 1935.
Shaw, the literary genius, rationalist and intellectual, was a perfect representative of the new essentially godless Euro-world order that had cloaked itself in the mantle of ‘humanism’. That world order emerged in the wake of the transformation of Europe from Christendom into a ‘one-eyed’ secular society, and the empowerment of Europe through the scientific, technological and industrial revolutions. By 1935 it had already imposed its godless rule upon the rest of mankind ‘at the point of the sword’, and had made considerable progress in its new crusade of globalization to establish one global godless world.
Maulana, on the other hand, through his spiritual magnetism, his intellectual brilliance and integrity, and his winsome personality, was an equally perfect representative of that sacred model of society that was established in the world for the last time by Prophet Muhammad (s). It was destined to survive the godless storm and to triumph over all rivals at the end of the Last Age when godless globalization would have lost all its steam.
This booklet, on the subject of fasting in Islam, comprises four sections. In the first section we discuss the basic objective of the institution of fasting in Islam as one of the development of ‘values’. We argue the point that values are an indispensable foundation of ‘power’ . In the second section we seek to explain the linkages which exist between fasting, on the one hand, and such specific values as charity, chastity, and freedom, on the other. In the third section there is an attempt to demonstrate a certain chronological sequence through which the compulsory fast in Islam can lead the believer to spiritual or religious experiencse. We then proceed to demonstrate the link which must always exist between moral and spiritual values, or between morality and religion and, hence, between religion and power. And finally, in the fourth section we examine the effect of fasting on the physical body and on physical health. Physical health and strength are a vital requirement, materially and psychologically, for the development of power.
PREFACE TO SECOND EDITION
Apart from minor editing, the only significant change from the first edition is our identification of Gog and Magog. In the first edition of this book we came to a premature conclusion which identified Gog with the Anglo-American-Israeli Zionist alliance and Magog with the Russian-led alliance. We now hold a different view. We now believe that Gog and Magog are present in both the Anglo-American-Israeli and the Russian-led alliances, and are leading them both to a mighty clash that will result in their mutual destruction as super-powers. However, it is important to note that Gog and Magog will survive that clash and will then use their power to so empower Israel that Israel can be firmly established as the ruling State in the world.
Imran N. Hosein Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Dhul Qa’ada, 1433
Islamic scholar Imran N. Hosein spent 15 years studying the subject of Gog and Magog. He then devoted himself to ten months of continuous effort in order to write this ground-breaking book on ‘An Islamic View of Gog and Magog in the Modern World’. Despite the fact that he earns his modest livelihood from the sale of his books, he promptly put the entire text of the book on this website for free download around the world. As a consequence thousands appear to have already read and benefited from the book during the three weeks that it has been available on the internet.
Readers can show their appreciation for the value of his scholarly work by ordering copies of the printed book.

I began my study of Gog and Magog more than fifteen years ago in the early 90’s while resident in New York. My subsequent public lectures on the subject never failed to provoke keen interest from my Muslim audiences in several parts of the world. The evidence and arguments presented in the chapter on Gog and Magog in my book, ‘Jerusalem in the Qur’an’, succeeded in convincing many who read the book that we now live in a world dominated by Gog and Magog. They were easily convinced that the ‘town’ mentioned in the Qur’ān in Sūrah al-Anbiyāh’ (21:95-6) was Jerusalem and hence, that Gog and Magog (and Dajjāl) explained the ominously unfolding ‘war on Islam’ with slaughter and destruction of Muslims in so many parts of the world. As a consequence, such readers also understood Israel’s mysterious imperial agenda, and many have been making efforts to extricate themselves and their families from the embrace of Gog and Magog – an embrace that will take 999 out of every 1000 of mankind into the hellfire.
Despite my best efforts, however, I failed miserably, again and again, to convince my learned peers, the scholars of Islam, that Gog and Magog were even released into the world. I earnestly hope and pray that this book might make a difference Insha’ Allah.

|Introduction by Dr Tamman Adi
One of the essential characteristics of the religion of Islam is its insistence that when a people recognize Allah Most High as ‘sovereign’ (al-Malik) then they must ensure that the State and all its institutions submit to Allah’s supreme authority and supreme law. If the State, rather than Allah, is recognized as sovereign, and that is the essence of the secularism, Islam declares such to be Shirk (blasphemy) and that is the greatest sin possible.
Around the world today the modern secular State is universally recognized as sovereign. Its authority is recognized as supreme, and so too its law. And so, around the world today mankind is now embraced by a universal political Shirk (blasphemy). This is, in fact, one of the major signs that we now live in the age of Dajjal, the false Messiah or Anti-Christ, who deceived mankind into worshipping other than Allah Most High. He, Dajjal, is the mastermind behind today’s world order about which the Hadith declares that 999 out of every 1000 will enter into the hellfire. But even Muslims seem to be unaware of this.
This book is a part of a larger unpublished work on the Organisation of Islamic Conference. It documents and exposes the complicity of the Saudi-Wahabi alliance in the fall of the Khilafate and the subsequent obstacles imposed to prevent the re-establishment of the Khilafat. Required reading for Muslims who are seeking to make sense of the world today.
I have followed with indescribable pain the cowardly American terrorist attacks on those Muslims of Afghanistan who took a stand for Islam and who were entirely innocent of the September 11th terrorist attack on America. America has consistently followed the same policy of ruthless merciless oppression from the time of the extermination of the indigenous American -Indian peoples and the enslavement of the African people in the Americas to the absolutely shameless support for the relentless oppression of the State of Israel in the Holy Land. Only those who are completely blind and totally corrupted in respect of their capacity for understanding can fail to see the above.
